A Personal Appeal from Rand Paul

The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation
You're going to want to read the rest of this email. Because I guarantee it will put a smile on your face.
You see, the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation's Supreme Court victory in the Janus v.
AFSCME case just gave every public sector worker in the country the freedom to voluntarily choose if they want to pay union dues or not. And the freedom not to join a union and pay forced
dues is the freedom to stop Big Labor from cutting a slice of your paycheck for their progressive slush fund.
In fact, AFSCME union boss Naomi Walker wailed, "The progressive infrastructure in this country, from
think tanks to advocacy organizations -- which depends on the resources and engagement of workers and their unions -- will crumble." That's because your Foundation's victory
in Janus v. AFSCME affects over 5 million public sector workers in the 22 forced union states, from New York to California.
And with doomsday statements from the union bosses, it seems workers aren't inclined to keep coughing up a
cut of their pay to fund Big Labor's progressive agenda. This means an instant pay raise for every affected worker, and an instant catalyst to the economy as union bosses will no
longer have their hands in workers' wallets without permission.
But the Foundation staked all its resources on this victory. And in order to guarantee Janus is enforced, the
Foundation is counting on your immediate support! You see, no other national legal organization focuses exclusively on reining in Big Labor's government-granted forced unionism power
-- the engine that drives the far-left's political machine.
As you may remember, it's the Foundation's victory in the Harris v. Quinn case which left the door
wide-open for the Supreme Court to ultimately rule government sector forced unionism as incompatible with the First Amendment. That ruling, along with the confirmation of Judge Neil
Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, created the perfect scenario for the Foundation to move forward with the Janus case that expands the Harris ruling to every public sector employee in the
This victory marks the 18th case your National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation has argued before the
Supreme Court. But fights like this don't end when the legal team leaves the courtroom. Foundation staff attorneys already have cases in the pipeline to enforce Janus, while their
public information team uses every avenue of modern communication to inform public sector workers of their rights.
But battling union lawyers all the way to the highest court in the land and litigating over 200 active cases
has strained the Foundation's budget. The truth is, in order for the Foundation to carry out its plans and stop Big Labor from circumventing Janus and holding back workers from
exercising their rights, your help is critical. And thanks to a generous supporter, your gift today will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
However much you can give, please stand with your Foundation today.
Rand Paul, M.D.
United States Senator
P.S. Foundation staff attorneys just won a groundbreaking victory at the Supreme Court in Janus v. AFSCME
ending forced union dues for every public sector worker in America. But battling union lawyers all the way to the highest court in the land and litigating over 200 active cases has
strained the Foundation's budget. And thanks to a generous Foundation supporter, your gift today will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
